Peru, a megadiverse country, is home to an extraordinary wealth of living species in general and Flora in particular. Flora exploited by man through his history to cover his needs for food, clothing, fuel, construction, recreation; but above all to cure and / or alleviate their ailments and / or illnesses; ancestral ethnobotanical wisdom, initially imparted by the "Hampicamayoc", "Oquetlupuc", "Sircac", and which, at present, persists through the "healers" and "grandmothers"; but that unfortunately is being lost due to the lack of communication and registration. Therefore, the objective of the present investigation was to carry out the inventory of the Ethnomedicinal Flora of the District of Huanchaco, Trujillo, La Libertad, since it is important to reassess the ancestral ethnobotanical knowledge of this District in the cure and / or relief of many diseases and / or ailments. To this end, 96 semi-structured interviews were applied to the inhabitants of the District of Huanchaco; At the same time, the collection, drying, assembling, and labeling of the specimens was carried out; to later determine both its taxonomic characteristics: Family, Scientific and Common Name, Part used, Form of preparation and Medicinal uses; as its Ecogeographic Characteristics: altitudinal Distribution, Distribution by Departments, Time of Flowering, Time of Fructification and Form of Propagation. 44 species of medicinal plants used are reported; distributed in 22 families and 42 genera, of which they stand out for the number of species: Lamiaceae (5), Asteraceae (4), and Rutaceae (3), Poaceae (3), Apiaceae (3).
