A Modified Venturini PWM scheme for Matrix converters

Matrix converters have been deserved much attention in industry due to lack of DC-link capacitors over the conventional VSIs. Since from the generation of this converter concept its complexity incorporates the development of proper modulation techniques, control strategy and optimized converter resources. This paper presents a new modulation technique to enhance the amplitude of the output voltage by changing the offset duty ratio with in build input power factor correction. Paper presents the optimized filter parameter of modified Venturini method over the classical modulation technique.
