Pulsed Laser Ablation and Cluster Ion Formation from Group VI Elements S, Se, Te, and Mixtures with Ni and Cu

Laser mass spectrometry of positive and negative cluster ions produced from S, Se and Te, pure as well as in mixture with Ni and Cu are reported. The ion intensity decreases with increasing cluster size, and this is combined with discontinuities likely related to the geometrical structures of the cluster.
