A Source for the Immuration in "The Black Cat"

The idea of having the narrator of "The Black Cat" immure the body of his wife may have come to Edgar Allen Poe from a news item reprinted by the Philadelphia Public Ledger from the Greenfield Democrat of Greenfield, Massachusetts, on 16 July 1842, shortly before Poe composed the tale.
