Workplace Incivility: New Frontiers and Research Directions

Research on workplace incivility or rudeness has “taken offx in the organizational literature (see Schilpzand, De Pater, & Erez, 2015) despite the relatively recent introduction of the construct. The goal of this symposium is to identify new avenues of research for incivility scholars. With this mission in mind, we assembled a panel of researchers who are engaging in novel direction-setting and cutting-edge research on workplace incivility. The five included manuscripts, written by leading workplace incivility scholars, will emphasize key themes and future directions regarding the significance and applicability of rude or uncivil conduct at work."
