Reparo Endovascular de Ruptura de Aneurisma de Aorta Torácica Descendente: Relato de Caso Endovascular Stent-Graft Repair of Ruptured Descending Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm: Case Report

2009
Descending thoracic aortic aneurysm is a pathology of major clinical importance that is very serious today. The use of endovascular stents in diseases of the descending thoracic aorta is receiving increasing attention as this is a promising procedure that offers a good and less invasive alternative to open surgery. This paper presents a case study of a hypertensive female patient, 87 years old, with descending thoracic aortic aneurysm who developed a rupture of the aneurysm and left hemothorax, buffered. A decision was then taken on endovascular correction with an endoprosthesis implant, after the stabilization of the clinical condition of the patient.
