Device and method for frictional separating paper sheet feeding

PURPOSE: To eliminate overlap feeding and non-feeding of paper sheets when paper sheets are fed by using a paper sheet feeding roller and a frictional separating pad. CONSTITUTION: In a frictional separating paper sheet feeding device which is provided with a paper sheet feeding roller 5 to consecutively carry a plurality of loaded paper sheets 1 from the side which is brought into contact with these paper sheets 1 and a frictional separating pad 14 which is located downstream of the carrying direction of the paper sheets 1 and elastically brought into contact with the external circumferential surface of the paper sheet feeding roller 5, an inclination angle changing means to move the friction separating pad 14 in the direction where the inclination angle of the friction separating pad 14 relative to the carrying direction of the paper sheets 1 is changed is provided.
