Tumores renales en niños atendidos en el Hospital General de México.( Kidney tumours in children, in the General Hospital of México )

SUMMARY Objective. To review of experience related to renal tumors of children attended in the General Hospital of Mexico. Material and methods. It was a study retrospective and descriptive. The study included 59 cases of renal tumors. It from new born to 17 year old. It were recorded the sex and age. The section histologic were revised. Results. The Wilmstumor was the neoplasms more common with 39 cases (66.1%), clear cell sarcoma 5 cases (8.47%), mesoblastic nephroma, multicystic and angiomyolipoma 2 cases respectively (3.39%), renal cell carcinoma, neuroblastoma and rabdoid tumor one case respectively (1.7%) and 6 cases were tumoral infiltration and metastasis of others tumors as retroperitoneal teratoma, lymphomas and leukemias (12.3%). The average of age was 5.3 years from 2 months to 17 years. Conclusions: It is important the knowledges of frequency of different types of renal neoplasm according as the age and sex for guide useful parameters epidemiologic for clinical diagnosis.
