Research on HSI Chromaticity of Visible Light Image in Dielectric Barrier Discharge
2021
Because of the convenience of image acquisition in visible light band, the HSI chromaticity index based on visible image is proposed to characterize the discharge state of DBD in this paper. By extracting the average values of H hue index, S saturation index and I intensity index of discharge digital image, it is found that: 1) With the increase of exposure time of camera, H and S of discharge image in atmospheric pressure air and low-pressure air are basically unchanged, while I is increased, which shows that H and S can overcome the influence of shooting parameters to reflect the discharge state. 2) With the increase of voltage of the power, H and S in atmospheric pressure air discharge gradually increase and then remain unchanged, while H and S in low-pressure air, atmospheric argon and nitrogen basically remain unchanged. 3) With the increase of frequency of the power, H and S in atmospheric pressure air discharge changes irregularly, while H and S in low-pressure air, atmospheric argon and nitrogen basically remain unchanged. These results show that hue and saturation of image can distinguish the filamentous mode and glow mode. It means that even if only light of visible spectrum emitted from plasma is captured, the color method can provide sufficient discharge information for economic and convenient use in discharge state detection.
