Einfluss des Rührens von Rindergülle auf den pH-Wert währendder Lagerung

2017
Slurry is known as a source of ammonia (NH3), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions. NH3 emissions depend on the pH value of the slurry and previous studies show that emissions could be reduced by lowering the pH. In order to estimate the influence of stirring on the pH and the NH3 emission potential of cattle slurry, three treatments (A not stirred, B stirred for 1 x 60 min and C stirred for 6 x 10 min per day) were compared. The results show that no positive effects of stirring cattle slurry, neither in economic nor in ecological terms, can be expected.
