It is shown in the assessment of the operational performance of patent system in the Eleventh Five-Year period in the City of Ma'anshan that patent system plays an active part in the stimulation of invention and innovation and the promotion of economic development.The City of Ma'anshan has made some progress in the innovation consciousness and innovation abilities on the micro level,but it has a long way to go comapared with the developed regions of Anhui.
