Method for genotyping of Staphylococcus aureus

The present invention relates to a genotyping method of the species Staphylococcus aureus MLVA comprising the steps of: (i) providing a co-amplification of at least eight loci VNTRs by multiplex PCR in a reaction mixture comprising a DNA sample derived from an isolate of Staphylococcus aureus to form a plurality of amplicons to each of the eight loci VNTRs, (ii) analyzing said amplicons by capillary electrophoresis in order to obtain an electrophoretic profile of said sample, and (iii) assigning a digital code to said profile MLVA electrophoretic. The present invention also relates to a Staphylococcus aureus genotyping kit for the implementation of the above genotyping method.
