SOME INDICATORS OF FLOWERING AND FLORAL STAGE

Concerning the flowering process, interactions, feed-backs and communication between cells and organs play an important role. Hormones, ions, soluble carbohydrates and inhibitors are one kind of chemical mediators usually thought to be involved in this phenomenon (9-1 1 ,28,36) . Despite a lot of hypotheses and numerous publications in this field since the work of J. Sachs and G. Klebs, the mechanism of floral induction is still not clearly known and we are just at the beginning, especially for the functioning of apices, to be progressively able to express it in terms of molecular physiology and genetics (10,30,37-39).
