The study on thermogravimetric analysis and emissions of ethanol-diesel blend.

2011
The thermogravimetric analyses of 0# diesel(D100),ethanol-biodiesel-diesel blend(B10E10) and ethanol-emulsifier-diesel blend(R5E10) were carried out under the heating rate of 15 ℃/min in N2 and O2 atmosphere, the volatility, pyrolysis and combustion characteristics were determined, and the parameters of the thermogravimetric analysis were calculated.Three kinds of fuel were tested on engine test bench and the results were analyzed. The results indicated that the thermal stability of the ethanol-biodiesel-diesel blend has a better thermal stability. And ethanol-diesel's mass reduction parameters are lower than diesels,so they need higher temperature to volatilize or oxidate. And the engine test showed that under full load, all of the emissions of B10E10 are improved compared with diesel, and the CO,HC emissions of R5E10 increase lightly.
