The Effect of Customers’ Wellness Perception on Evaluation of Physical Environment and Behavioral Intentions in Hotel Restaurants

The significance of the concept of wellness is emerging in the hotel industry, as customers appear to place a high value on wellness. The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of customers’ wellness perception on the evaluation of physical environment and behavioral intention to inform the dining industry and hotel restaurants about the ways in which they can improve customers’ various desires for wellness in their dining experiences in hotel restaurants and offer a high level of dining service. The results were as follows. First, customers’ cognitive, emotional, and social wellness was found to have a significant effect on the evaluation of physical environment. Second, the evaluation of physical environment was found to have a significant effect on customers’ behavioral intentions. Third, customers’ emotional and cognitive wellness, but not social wellness, was found to have a significant effect on customers’ behavioral intentions.
