Saúde e qualidade de vida das pessoas vivendo com HIV/aids: uma revisão narrativa dos últimos 15 anos

Objective: To review the literature on quality of life and the difficulties faced by people living with HIV / AIDS (PLWHA). Methods: This is a literature review, whose articles were selected from the LILACS and MEDLINE databases. Results: Negative and positive aspects can be listed in the search for PLWHA quality of life, among the positive factors: support from family and friends, insertion in the job market and spirituality. Among the negative factors, the most reported was prejudice, often coming from the family or health professionals, many people prefer to hide the disease throughout their lives. Conclusion: The fight against AIDS requires government and society efforts and positioning, and encouragement to the technical-scientific community.
