Research on application of OPC in industrial control

Infomationization of industrial control equipment is discussed. With the problems in communication and limited application between products of different manufacturers, OLE for Process Control(OPC)is offered as an effective middleware of FCS, DCS and PLC to solve the non-standard software interface problem. Then the combination of OPC and industrial Ethernet using Siemens products to implement industrial control system is introduced.
