Thermal boundary resistance between an Ag sinter and superfluid3He at very low temperatures
1996
We report on our investigations of the thermal boundary resistance between superfluid3He−B and a 700A Ag sinter atT<1mK and in the pressure range 0.3bar≤p≤20bar. In order to study the impact of the thermal resistance of the sinter itself and of the liquid constraint to the sinter sponge we have solved the one-dimensional equation for the heat transport in a homogeneous sinter slab taking into account the characteristic parameters for the sinter body of our experimental setup. However, even in this improved analysis of the Kapitza resistanceR K it is impossible to solve the problem of the temperature dependence ofR K from the experimental data, mainly because of the small temperature interval of the experiment.
