Dynamic systems are practically omnipresent, both in nature and technology - and consequently also in industrial chemistry, electrochemistry and in corrosion. This can lead to oscillating reactions, in which even a wave-like self-organization can occur. Apart from the dynamic processes there are also dynamic experimental methods which can be used to analyze stationary and instationary processes. One speaks of dynamic processes especially in those cases where the system in question is far from a steady state. Irrespective of whether one deals with processes in reaction volume or with the co-effects of components in heterogeneous systems, the central aim is always the dynamic modelling of the total system as a base for its comprehension and manipulation. The application possibilities of dynamic system analysis today cover the whole range from the study of elementary processes over the optimization of technical processes to the safety analysis of plants.
