Effect of Irradiation Modification on PCL

The effects of various fillers on the mechanical property of polycaprolactone(PCL),and effects of dosage of Co 60 -γ rays on molecular weight,crosslinking density,modulus at high temperature and biodegradability were investigated.The results show that soluble starch was a good filler for PCL.It had little negative effect on PCL.Molecular weight,crosslinking density and modulus increased at high temperature,and the biodegradability reduced after irradiation by Co 60 -γ rays.The dosage of irradiation from 30 to 90 kGy was preferable to both processability and biodegradability.
