The Analysis of a Phase-Delayed Optical Two-State Switch

A novel optical waveguide phase-delayed two-state switch is presented that consists of a pair of asynchronous waveguides. The performance of the switch is analyzed in detail. The simple structure of the device may lead to an easy imple- mentation in optical switching, optical ~II~~WOM&S, and sensor applications.
