The analysis of the approaches to the estimation of the scientific-technical and economical significance of the intellectual property has been fulfilled. Rates of the estimation of the scientific-technical significance of the inventions, utility models, industrial designs with the use of the cost-based estimation method have been proposed. The conditions of the use of methods of comparative approach and profitable approach have been established and the recommendations of their practical application have been grounded.
