The Endocrine System of the Tephritidae

The biological concept that hormones regulate all life processes needs little explanation. Based on this premise, it is a given that the endocrine system of tephritids is extremely important in influencing all aspects of fruit fly biology. Using the endocrine system as a cornerstone for understanding the underlying mechanisms governing physiology, behavior and ecology, we will address five questions.
