On the performance of DDO-OFDM system

Based on the Optisystem software,a simulation system of DDO-OFDM(Direct-Detection Optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is established.The performances of DDO-OFDM system with respect to bit-rate,fiber dispersion,optical power and subcarrier numbers are studied to draw the law of optimal parameter selection.The results show that,there is a trade-off between fiber dispersion and bandwidth efficiency while selecting the parameter of subcarrier numbers,and there is a trade-off between optical signal to noise ratio and nonlinear effect while selecting the parameter of optical power.
