Práticas tradutórias como práticas de si: migração e hos(ti)pitalidade

2020
The goal of this article is to present considerations regarding translation as a permanent state for the migrant that lives between-languages and between-cultures. Translation practices are discussed as practices of the subject to inscribe him/herself in another language-culture that is not his/her first. The corpus is constituted by sayings of people that went through forced migration and the analysis we endeavor follows mainly the condition of the migrant as a translated being, as Cronin (2006) proposes as well as in the concept of hos(ti)pitality developed by Derrida (2000).
