The American Chemical Society (ACS)'s National Meeting and Exposition is a premier networking and education event for the global chemistry community, with an astounding program of scientific sessions covering all fields of chemistry This year, the 260th ACS National Meeting was to be held in San Francisco, California, but due to the coronavirus (COVID-19, SARS-COV-2) pandemic and subsequent travel restrictions, it was rescheduled to a virtual meeting on the originally scheduled dates of August 17-20 The meeting comprised 4 days of live broadcast sessions and on-demand virtual content (posters and prerecorded presentations), with over 6,000 papers presented, and its theme was 'Moving Chemistry from Bench to Market ' Parallel to the meeting, there was a virtual exhibit hall, where more than 100 exhibitors showcased their innovations in chemical products, technologies and services, sometimes through liver seminars and prerecorded workshops This report covers some of the medicinal chemistry presentations delivered at the meeting
