The Relationship between the Plasma Lipids Level and Von Willebrand Factor and the Platelet Membrane Glucoprotein in Aged Patients

2007
Objective To study the relationship between the plasma lipids level and von Willebrand factor(vWF) and the platelet membrane glucoprotein(GP) in aged patients. Methods The level of vWF and GPⅡb,GPⅢa were tested by ELISA in aged hyperlipoidemia patients then compared with the normal group. Results Compared with the control, the levels of plasma vWF and GPⅡb,GPⅢa in aged hyperlipoidemia patients(high TG group, high LDL-C group, high TC,TG,LDL-C group) were significantly higher than those of the normal(P0.01).The correlation analysis indicated that the level of GPⅡb,GPⅢa in aged hyperlipoidemia patients has midrange correlation with the TG level(r=0.5218,0.5917 separately),but has high correlation with the LDL-C and the vWF level(r=0.8612,0.8413 separately). Conclusion High level of lipids can destroy the function of vascular endothelial cell and induce the activation of platelet. The determination of the platelet membrane glucoprotein(GPⅡb,GPⅢa) has important value for the diagnosis and precaution of thrombogenic disease.
