Management of Locally Recurrent Penile Cancer

Treatment of locoregional recurrence of penile cancer depends on a variety of factors. Salvage treatment of the primary tumor depends on the tumor location, size, and depth of invasion. Patients who underwent penile sparing therapy are at increased risk of local recurrence; however, this does not translate to a higher risk of regional or distant metastasis. Close follow-up is critical for early detection and treatment.
