Specific heat of the ScxHo1−xNi2 solid solutions

Abstract Measurements of the specific heat of polycrystalline HoNi 2 , ScNi 2 and their solid solutions Sc x Ho 1− x Ni 2 ( x = 0.2 , 0.4) have been performed. The Debye temperatures, phonon and conduction electron contributions as well as the magnetic part of the heat capacity were determined and discussed.
