drop forming apparatus

1990
In prior art drop-producing devices with rotating cylindrical walls, heating up the walls is a problem since, in certain applications, the temperatures necessary to heat up the walls can be above the flame point of the materials from which the drops are to be produced. The invention therefore proposes that an induction heater fitted with an induction coil (18) in the same way as an induction-hardening installation be used to heat the walls. The heater can also be cooled, but enables parts to be heated up as long as they are made of a particular material. The invention can be used in drop-producing devices for the manufacture of lozenges.
