Model-based Fuzzy Control of Nonlinear Systems

This paper presents a scheme of model-based fuzzy control of nonlinear systems. The proposed fuz-zy model is composed of "If-then" rules. The consequence part of each rule is described by a linearcontinuous-time dynamic equation, which represents the input-output relation of a system. The paramet-ers of the fuzzy model are estimated using input-output data and a genetic algorithm. Then, a trackingcontroller which guarantees stability of the overall system is designed based on the fuzzy model. Thesimulation work demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
