Sustainable practices at school buildings are significant actions that reach the reduction of energy consumption and natural resources. Furthermore these practices can improve user’s comfort, school performance, health and wellbeing of pupils. Objective: review some more sustainable building practices that improve visual, thermal, acoustical comfort at schools. Results: Based on analysis of scientific literature concerning to scope. The main results indicate daylighting and natural ventilation is the most significant strategy to enhance user’s comfort. The use of materials such as natural or recycled fibers is a viable and more sustainable alternative to reach acoustic comfort. Final considerations: the use of more environmental sustainable strategies also provides better learning conditions and soundness places.
