A method for monitoring a compressor comprising a rotor. The method comprises obtaining a dynamic pressure signal (36) of the rotor to obtain a rotor blade passing frequency, the use of the blade passage frequency signal for filtering the pressure signal dynamic (36), buffering the filtered dynamic pressure signal during a time interval changing, and analyzing the dynamic pressure signal buffered in order to predict a compressor stall condition.
