LA INVESTIGACIÓN PEDAGÓGICA COMO FORMA DE PROFESIONALIZACIÓN DE LA DOCENCIA

La actualizacion cientifica y didactica del profesorado es un factor fundamental para mejorar la calidad de la ensenanza; de ahi que se considere prioritaria, a nivel mundial, la atencion a la formacion permanente de profesorado. Las razones en que se basa esta decision son muy diversas: imposibilidad de que la formacion inicial pueda prosperar para toda una vida profesional, aumento y cambios constantes en los conocimientos que han de ser incorporados a los nuevos curriculos y profesorado en renovacion con una formacion inicial, en muchos casos, inexistente o no adecuada a la demanda. Por otra parte, el profesional de la ensenanza que pretende mejorar cada dia su practica docente necesita completar y actualizar sus conocimientos cientificos, conocer las lineas de investigacion de la disciplina que ensena y poder integrarse en equipo para realizar un trabajo de investigacion educativa. En el trabajo se argumenta la necesidad de que el profesor universitario utilice la investigacion pedagogica como forma de profesionalizacion de la docencia. PEDAGOGICAL RESEARCH AS A FORM OF PROFESSIONALIZATION OF TEACHING ABSTRACT The scientific and didactic updating of the teaching staff is a fundamental factor to improve the quality of the teaching; that’s why it is considered a priority, at the global level, the attention to the permanent training of teachers. The reasons for this decision are very different: the impossibility that initial training can thrive for a whole professional life, increase and constant changes in knowledge to be incorporated into new curricula and faculty in renewal with initial training, in many cases, nonexistent or not adequate to the demand. On the other hand, the professional of education who intends to improve his teaching practice every day needs to complete and update his scientific knowledge, to know the research lines of the discipline he teaches and to be able to integrate into a team to carry out an educational research work. The paper argues the need for the university professor to use pedagogical research as a form of professionalization of teaching.
