Nonlinear time domain simulation technology for seakeeping and wave-load analysis for modern ship design. Authors' closure

This paper describes recent developments and new applications in the field of numerical simulation for nonlinear ship motions using the Large Amplitude Motion Program (LAMP), following up on our 1997 paper (Shin, et al. 1997). The objective of LAMP's development is to develop an analysis of tool for highly realistic prediction of wave loads and behavior for a ship in severe seas.
