Chromium-containing conductive corrosion inhibitors and methods of corrosion protection

1997
An anti-corrosive agent, especially for no-rinse treatment of metals, containing the following essential ingredients in an aqueous solution or suspension: 2-10 g/l Cr(VI), 1-10 g/l Cr(III), 5-50 g/l phosphoric acid, 5-50 g/l of a conductive pigment and 50-200 g/l of an organic film former. Also disclosed is a method for anti-corrosive treatment of galvanized steel or aluminium, whereby the metals are brought into contact with the anti-corrosive agent during 20-60 seconds and are subsequently dried at 50-180 DEG C. Preferably, a dry layered deposit of 0.5-5 g/m is obtained.
