On the identity of Leptocereus ekmanii, a currently disregarded cactus species of the Sierra de los Organos, western Cuba

Summary: The characters of plants from two Leptocereus populations are compared. L. ekmanii, often considered to be a synonym of L. assurgens, is shown to differ, especially in regard to its flowers. The fruit of L. ekmanii is described and illustrated for the first time.
