대학 캠퍼스 광장의 이용 행태 분석에 관한 연구

2019
Recently, university campuses have provided open space with campus expansion through various forms of plaza. This outer space is mainly used as a place for communication, exchange, and leisure for students and faculty. It also becomes a very important shared space where breaks, meetings and events are held. The development plan process of the university campus has resulted in the relatively poor external environment of the campus, as education facilities and support facilities needed for the campus land limited to the absence of a master plan have been expanded. As new types of campus square plans increasingly emphasize their importance as an external space, they will require active improvement plans to respond to satisfaction analysis along with a survey of users' usage on campus. In this study, the behavior characteristics of users in the corridor type square were analyzed among the cases of campus square in Korea. First, we identified problems in the use of external plaza spaces within the school by surveying behavior according to user attributes, along with physical characteristics of the space. Second, user satisfaction and importance of space and facilities were investigated and analyzed through IPA technique and interview. The analysis results show that the layout of the facilities is concentrated in places with high user distribution. Space utilization is related to the installation of facilities in the stay area. Second, space utilization rate depends on the relationship with the building other than the facility, and affects stability and convenience. Third, a mobile facility design suitable for the size of the square is needed. Fourth, there needs to be direct links between adjacent buildings and plazas or improvements to the rest space at the connected point.
