2011
Progress in transforming the UK’s fragmented location (geographic) information landscape over the past 4 years into a well-governed, easily discovered and accessed, interoperable information resource for government and beyond is reviewed. The impact and progress in implementing the influential UK Location Strategy and the EU INSPIRE Directive are analysed in the context of wider public sector information policy drivers and future challenges for progress are identified.
