Structure of the aluminoxane-acetylacetonato catalytic complex for polymerization of epoxides

Aluminoxane-acetylacetonato complexes, characterized by molecular mass, alkyl-group contents, and IR-spectroscopic data, were prepared from triethyl- and triisobutylaluminum. A model of the structure of these complexes, consisting mainly of three to five units containing alkylaluminoxane and acetylacetonato groups, is proposed.
