The invention belongs to the technical field of a super-capacitor and particularly relates to a preparation method of an electrode active material of the super-capacitor. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adopting active carbon powder with the grain diameter of 10-23 microns, and carrying out steps of roughly milling, finely milling, screening, preparing thick liquid and tabletting to prepare the electrode active material of the super-capacitor. After the active material prepared by the preparation method disclosed by the invention is prepared into the super-capacitor, the internal resistance is small, a charging/discharging speed is fast, the power density is great, the capacitance is relatively high and the energy density is higher than the energy density of other capacitors. The whole production and operation process is simple and the production cost is low; and the preparation method can be directly applied to large-batch industrial production. The power density of the super-capacitor prepared by using the method disclosed by the invention can reach 2.8 kw/kg and the energy density of the super-capacitor is 5.95 Wh/kg.
