Auswertung von Verweilzeitmessungen in der Versuchsanlage THERESA
2008
The experimental determination of dwell time distributions allows conclusions on the streaming relations while taking measurements within a reactor. The available results were obtained in a semi-technical rotary kiln (THERESA) using two different measuring methods, absorption resp. emission spectroscopy technique (the first carried out in co-operation with the Physical-Chemical Institute of the University of Heidelberg), which show differences in accuracy. For the description of the experimental distributions, two different models (the socalled dispersion model and the cell model) have been used. Both models take into account the effects of displacement and mixture. Both these effects, however, can also be expounded by the aid of the discrete convolution of a rectangle function and a negative exponential function.
