This editorial deals with the topical problem both in obstetrics and gynecology — diagnosis and management tactics in patients with an incompetent uterine suture (scar) after cesarean section. The paper gives information on basic methods, such as clinical, ultrasound, endoscopic (therapeutic and diagnostic hysteroscopy) ones, for diagnosing an incompetent uterine suture (scar) and describes different surgical treatments for this condition: a conservative/surgical procedure in which operative hysteroscopy is a surgical component, an organ-sparing surgical procedure — the methods for debriding a wound and for applying secondary sutures to the uterine when stopping acute endometritis. The authors declare no conflicts of interest.
