Treatment of congenital infant muscular torticollis with the combined therapy of ultrasonic with I--iontophoresis.

Objective To explore the effective treatment of congenital infant muscular torticollis (CIMT).Methods 162 cases of CIMT were randomly divided into three groups treated respectively by the combined therapy of ultrasonic with I--iontophoresis, the combined therapy of frequency with I--iontophoresis, the therapy of massage.Results The cure rate of A group(90.3%) was significantly higher than that of B group(70.0%) and C group(37.5%)( P 0.01). The effective rate of A group(100%) was not significantly higher than that of B group(96.7%)( P 0.05),but significantly than C group(37.5%)( P 0.01).Conclusion The combined therapy of ultrasonic with I--iontophoresis can be used in the treatment of CIMT effectively.
