The invention discloses a hinge structure of a steel pier column of a portal frame platform bridge and a bearing platform and a construction method thereof. A column bottom steel plate is arranged at the bottom of the steel pier column, and a reinforced rib plate is welded between the column bottom steel plate and the steel pier column; a bearing platform embedded steel plate is arranged at the top surface of a concrete bearing platform, and the bottom surface of the bearing platform embedded steel plate is connected with a shear plate and a shear reinforcing steel bar arranged in the concrete bearing platform; movable hinge supports are arranged between the column bottom steel plate and the bearing platform embedded steel plate, each movable hinge support comprises an ear plate type upper rib plate and an ear plate type lower rib plate which are connected through a pin shaft and are arranged at interval, the ear plate type upper rib plate is connected with the column bottom steel plate through a movable hinge top plate, and the ear plate type lower rib plate is connected with the bearing platform embedded steel plate through a movable hinge soleplate. The hinge structure, provided by the invention, has the advantages of simple structure, convenience for manufacturing, reasonable stress, and capability of safely reliably transferring inner force and deformation generated by computing load for the novel portal frame platform bridge so as to reduce the height of a girder of the portal frame platform bridge structure, improve the landscape effect, and reduce the engineering investment.
