Insoluble anodes used in hydrometallurgy: Part II. Anodic behaviour of lead and lead-alloy anodes

2000
This part of the review is devoted to the processes that take place upon the surface of Pb and Pb-alloy anodes used in hydrometallurgy. The conclusion of many authors is that Pb-alloy anodes containing Ag or Co show the lowest potential of the oxygen evolution reaction and the highest corrosion resistance as compared with those of Pb-alloy anodes, which contain other alloying additives.
