Somatostatin in the treatment of pancreatic ascites

Abstract The case of a patient with pancreatic ascites who was successfully treated with an analogue of somatostatin (Sandostatin; Sandoz, Basel, Switzerland) administered as a continuous infusion for 9 days is reported.
