Robotic complete mesocolic excision with high vascular tie and intracorporeal side-to-side anastomosis with omental pedicle flap - a video vignette

2018
Complete mesocolic excision (CME) and high vascular tie has been adopted for right-sided colon cancers due to survival benefits [1]. However, laparoscopic technique is limited due to dependency to a camera assistant, 2D vision and rigid nature of laparoscopic instruments. Robotic systems have been developed to overcome the limitations of the laparoscopy to expand the use of minimally invasive techniques [2]. In this video, we present the technical details of a robotic CME with high vascular tie. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
