A Simplified Model Predictive Control with Two-step Horizon Based on Deadbeat Control for PMSM

2019
In this paper, a new two-step horizon finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) is presented for a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) system. The deadbeat solution is applied to the second prediction of two-step horizon. The method can be applied to reduce the computational cost and overcome the time delay. To further reduce the computational cost, based on deadbeat strategy, two voltage vector selection methods are proposed to reduce the alternative voltages. The proposed strategies are compared with two traditional two-step prediction algorithms. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategies are verified by numerical simulations.
