Melaminharze in der Strichhärtung : Gezielte Produktentwicklung am Beispiel eines Filmpressenauftrages

1996
Nowadays a built-in film press puts papermakers in a position to produce so-called film-coated papers which can hardly be distinguished from conventional blade-coated web offset papers. There are a couple of good arguments to use melamine resins for the benefit of a good coating hold-out. Formaldehyde emissions generated immediately after the film press application may be troublesome. However, it can be shown that the use of ®Madurit VMW3117 makes it possible to cope with the demand for minimized formaldehyde emissions and good crosslinking of the coating in order to achieve a high quality paper.
